Well, I’m just about over my hang-over from last night’s election night party. And what a night it was, after 11 *long* years of the conservatives last night delivered a thumping. Coalition members in seats that needed a swing of more than 10% lost their seats (Take a bow De-Anne Kelley) John Howard looks to become only the second sitting Prime Minster to lose his seat (The first was Stanley Bruce - interestingly enough also over Industrial Relations)
Peter Costello has spat the dummy and said he doesn’t want to be Leader of the Opposition, opening the door for a whole new bunch of contenders, including Malcolm Turnball, who is mush less socially conservative than most of the current parliamentary Liberal party.
On the whole, I think we’re in for an interesting couple of weeks.

So, as well as changing web sites, (and can I just say I’m looking forward to getting the WordPress site up and running properly) I’ve also changed web browsers, from Firefox to Flock.
Initially I thought I’d find the Flock interface too crowded - but in fact I love having all that information right there in front of me. In one glance I can see my Facebook friend updates, the twitter updates, my favourite RSS feeds everything.
It’s seriously cool

So, after two different attempts at blogging hosted on my .mac account, I’ve moved to WordPress.
Why WordPress - easy, impressive feature set and super flexible, which is pretty much all I was looking for.
Obviously this site will be under construction for a bit while I get it set up and all my links and stuff carried across - but so far I’m pretty impressed
